MEN?S RETREAT (MARCH 19-21), Led by Fr. Vince Beuzer, SJ. This is a silent weekend silent with the focus on the theme, JESUS SAID, "I have chosen you; Go and bear fruit that will last." Fr. WOMEN?S RETREAT (MARCH 26-28). This weekend retreat led by Sr. Alexandra Kovats, CSJP, will invite participants to explore how the season of spring can enrich our Lenten journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. In a special way we will focus on finding rest and renewal during this season of awakening to new life in preparation for Easter life. Presentations, rituals, movements, music, silence and sharing will be part of our time together. Sr. Alexandra Kovats is a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace, and has been a spiritual director and retreat facilitator for over thirty years. She is the author of Prayer, A Discovery of Life. Mother Teresa said, "We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature trees, flowers, grass grow in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls." An Ignatian Retreat is based on the experiences & insights of St. Ignatius Loyola given to him directly by God. The various prayer exercises are centered on the reality of Jesus, in us as we desire to know, love and serve him more meaningfully.
The retreat provides: Daily mass, Sacred Silence, Spiritual direction, Rest & Renewal, Private bedroom with 3 daily meals, Sacraments of Healing & Forgiveness, & Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
The 8-Day Ignatian Retreat is surrounded by sacred silence where the Blessed Sacrament is exposed 24/7. The directors, Fr. Vince Beuzer, SJ & Fr. Armand Nigro, SJ have led Ignatian Retreats for over 40 years.
